Sam Poh Tong

Sam Poh Tong is located five kilometers south Ipoh and in the vicinity of Gunung Rapat. Why it is so special? It is because inside the cave there are impressive works of art with various statues of Buddha and the natural stalactites and stalagmites which had formed since thousands years ago.

Kek Lok Tong

Kek Lok Tong was built in 1970’s and also known as “Cave of Great Happiness”, set in a huge cave behind Mount Rapat. This cave is younger than Sam Poh Tong, plus can be accessible through Gunung Rapat. The specialties of this cave are the collection of bronze statues of Buddha and Bodhisattras that carved their silent and meditative philosophies in the front cave.

Tambun Cave

In 1959, 5000 years old Neolithic rock paintings were discovered at Gua Tambun in the fringe of Ipoh. They were believed to be etched by the early dwellers of the Malay Peninsula. Maybe the drawings are unsophisticated, but the artists demonstrated the ability to paint and draw vividly and realistically.

Mount Cheroh

Mount Cheroh located in Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia. In the mountains there are caves and temples. Among them is the Temple of Arulmigu Subramania specific adherent to Hinduism among Indian community of Malaysia. It is the only lime stone hill shined with light at night.

Perak Tong

Perak Tong is the only temple in Ipoh that you can see 40 Buddha statues and a 12.8 meters statue of sitting Buddha at the centerpiece of the temple. Beyond the main alter of the temple, there is a passage leading into the interior, where mystical mural painting and Chinese calligraphy decorate the cave walls which were masterpiece by famous artists from all over the world.
